Girls' Generation Released the first japanese album and repackaged album in Korea on 9th!

Girls’ Generation released the first Japanese album ‘GIRLS' GENERATION’ and the repackaged album ‘GIRLS' GENERATION ~The Boys~’ in Korea on the 9th (today). 

‘GIRLS' GENERATION,’ which was released in Japan on June 1st, 2011, recorded the highest sales ever in the history of foreign artist’s albums in Japan and ranked the 1st on the Oricon weekly album chart as the first Korean female group. In addition, Girls’ Generation received the ‘Double Platinum,’ which is given by the Japanese Record Association to the album that has been sold over 500,000 copies.

Moreover, Girls’ Generation released the repackaged album on December 28th, 2011 and shipped over a million copies to Japan as the first Korean artist. Also, it ranked the Oricon weekly album chart TOP 10 for the longest period (17 consecutive weeks) as the first Korean artist’s album.  

The first Japanese album contains ‘you-aholic’ and ‘Let It Rain’ as well as their single hit songs including ‘Gee’, ‘GENIE’ and ‘Run Devil Run’ totalling 12 tracks and the DVD includes the music videos of ‘MR.TAXI,’ ‘GENIE’ and ‘Gee.’

Also, the repackaged album includes a total of 15 songs including the Japanese version of ‘The Boys,’ unpublished song ‘Time Machine’ and the remix version of album tracks (‘MR.TAXI’, ‘BAD GIRL’ and ‘THE GREAT ESCAPE’) and the DVD contains the music videos of ‘The Boys (ENG ver.) and ‘BAD GIRL.’

Meanwhile, Girls’ Generation performed ‘The Boys’ on a French TV talk show ‘Le Grand Journal’ as the first Korean artist and it will be aired on the 9th (Paris Time).

소녀시대, 일본 첫 정규 앨범 및 리패키지 앨범 9일 국내 발매!

소녀시대의 일본 첫 정규 앨범 ‘GIRLS' GENERATION’과 리패키지 앨범 ‘GIRLS' GENERATION ~The Boys~’가 각각 CD, CD+DVD 두 가지 버전으로 9일(금일) 국내 발매된다.

일본에서 작년 6월 1일 출시된 ‘GIRLS' GENERATION’은 발매 첫 주 일본 역대 해외 아티스트 첫 앨범 사상 최고 판매량을 기록하며 한국 여성그룹 최초로 오리콘 위클리 앨범차트 1위를 차지한데 이어, 발매 한 달 만에 음반 판매량 50만장을 돌파, 한국 여성그룹 최초로 일본 레코드 협회가 선정하는 ‘더블 플래티넘’에 등극하는 등 뜨거운 화제를 모은 앨범.

더불어 소녀시대는 작년 12월 28일 리패키지 앨범을 발표, 한국 그룹 최초로 밀리언 출하를 달성함은 물론 오리콘 위클리 앨범차트 TOP 10에 17주간 랭크 되어 한국 가수 앨범 사상 위클리 TOP 10 최장 진입 기록도 세우는 등 각종 기록을 수립해 폭발적인 인기를 입증한 바 있다.

이번 앨범에는 싱글 히트곡 ‘Gee’, ‘GENIE’, ‘Run Devil Run’을 비롯해 ‘you-aholic’, ‘Let It Rain’ 등 총 12곡이 수록되었으며, DVD에는 ‘MR.TAXI’, ‘GENIE’, ‘Gee’ 등 세 편의 뮤직비디오가 담겨 있어, 소녀시대의 다채로운 매력을 만나기에 충분하다.  

또한 리패키지 앨범에는 한국 정규 3집 타이틀곡 ‘The Boys’의 일본어 버전과 미발표곡 ‘Time Machine’, 앨범 수록곡 ‘MR.TAXI’, ‘BAD GIRL’, ‘THE GREAT ESCAPE’의 리믹스 버전이 추가된 총 15곡을 담았으며, DVD에는 ‘The Boys’ 영어 버전 뮤직비디오 및 ‘BAD GIRL’ 뮤직비디오를 수록, 풍성한 구성으로 음악 팬들의 기대를 충족시켜 줄 것으로 보인다.

한편, 소녀시대는 미국 지상파TV 토크쇼 출연에 이어, 프랑스에서도 대표 TV토크쇼 ’르 그랑 주르날(Le Grand Journal)’에 한국 가수 최초로 출연해 ‘The Boys’ 무대를 선사하며, 이 모습은 9일(파리 현지 시각) 방송될 예정이다.
